This technique laden class is perfect for those wanting to load up on contemporary never-before-seen skills.                                                                   

In this class you’ll learn how to stack and build a double barrel cake out of real cake and frost it to sleek perfection.                

You’ll then be taken through a series of up to 5 different textural buttercream techniques to create an abstract buttercream hand painted design. This class will also teach the secrets to creating wispy ethereal Gelatine Sails, a gorgeous new medium for topping cakes and pulled Isomalt.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn how to stack a Double Barrel extra tall cake
  • How to frost a tall cake with smooth sides  
  • This class will teach you how to achieve both sharp and rough edges
  • Up to 5 different buttercream texture techniques (watercolour, textured-multitoned, brush painting, palette painting, knife painting)
  • Method on how to make Gelatine Sails
  • How to pull Isomalt sugar

All materials will be provided for the class.

This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced decorators.
